How it connects
Claude Desktop connects to Atlaso through a custom connector — a remote MCP server you authorize once. Memory works when Claude calls the connector's recall and remember tools: often on its own, and always when you ask (“remember this,” “what did we decide”). It is not an every-message hook — for fully automatic recall and capture on every turn, use a plugin tool like Claude Code.

Add the connector
In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the Atlaso connector URL.

Authorize
Click Connect and approve access in the browser. One authorization links this Claude Desktop to your Atlaso memory.

Claude recalls and saves through the connector when the conversation calls for it — frequently on its own, and always when you ask it to.

Does it share memory with my coding tools?
