Persistent memory for Claude Desktop

Add Atlaso to Claude Desktop as a custom connector and Claude can reach your memory whenever a conversation needs it, recalling past decisions and saving new ones, all sharing the same memory as your coding tools.

How it works

Claude Desktop connects to Atlaso through a custom connector, a remote MCP server you authorize once. Memory works when Claude calls the connector's recall and remember tools: often on its own, and always when you ask (“remember this,” “what did we decide”). It is not an every-message hook: for fully automatic recall and capture on every turn, use a plugin tool like Claude Code.

Add the connector

In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the Atlaso connector URL.

Authorize

Click Connect and approve access in the browser. One authorization links this Claude Desktop to your Atlaso memory.

Ask Claude to remember

Claude recalls and saves through the connector when the conversation calls for it, frequently on its own, and always when you ask it to.

Not on every message. Claude Desktop uses a connector, so memory is used when Claude calls the recall or remember tools, often on its own, and always when you ask. For fully automatic recall-and-capture on every turn, use a plugin tool like Claude Code or Codex.

Yes. It's the same memory. What you save in a Claude Desktop chat is there in Claude Code and Cursor, and what those tools learn is there in Claude Desktop.

Yes. Keys and passwords are scrubbed on your device before anything is stored, and again on our servers. A memory is sent to a model only to produce your result, and kept nowhere afterwards. We never train on your memory and we never sell it. Forget a memory and it stops coming back in every tool, and if you want to leave, tell us and we delete your whole account.
